What does it mean to "walk your walk" as a Christian at work?
Join other business owners, leaders and colleagues for our next Business on Mission event featuring Greg Dowdy, retired Chief Operations Officer for American HealthCare, LLC. Greg will share his story about some fundamental, simple and proven methods for fostering a positive and highly productive workplace – one that you really look forward to entering on a daily basis. Steps will be provided on how to create a work community where team members thrive, where they enjoy joining and remaining on the team and where friction is resolved and not allowed to fester.
Greg Dowdy recently retired after 40 years of leadership in the health care industry. Greg served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at American HealthCare for 11 years (one of America’s top long term care chains with multiple facilities and 2,000 team members.). He also spent 27 years at Friendship Retirement, serving as COO and administrator for Virginia’s largest long term care facility.
Greg is well-known nationally in the long-term care industry as a thought leader on positive and effective leadership. He was frequently invited to write for industry publications and speak at national conferences, including a TED-like talk that was given at a national healthcare conference in New Orleans. (The 18-minute talk may be viewed on YouTube by searching for “Greg Dowdy LED.”) He has recently joined Gentle Shepherd's Center for Development and Mission Advancement as an executive volunteer, focusing on missions and ministry projects.
We will have some time to network before breakfast and during breakfast. Greg will begin around 8:00 AM with his message.
